Chelsea were given approval by the Mayor of London for the go-ahead of their new stadium plans.

The possibilities new stadiums offer to clubs can be stated with various examples: increased stadium attendances, bigger budgets (through higher ticketing revenues, branding and improved revenues of F&B and hospitality) and higher supporter/visitor satisfaction rates.

Major international sporting and other public events present serious policing and security challenges for host countries. As well as taking place in large, complex and dispersed locations, such events can attract a range of criminal activities from disorder and violence to cyberattacks and even terrorism.

The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) organizes yearly events (workshops, stadium tours, summit,..) in order to bring value to its members, to share best practices and stimulate networking in the stadium and major sports venue industry.

The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) will assemble during the Pitch Management Workshop that will take place in Leicester (UK) from 10 to 11 May 2017. Delegates will enjoy panel discussions, pitch visits & workshops, presentations and a networking dinner.

The ESSMA Summit is the must-attend stadium industry event by ESSMA (European Stadium & Safety Management Association) in partnership with the EPFL (European Professional Football Leagues), ECA (European Club Association) and the ICSS (International Centre for Sport Security).

Get an impression of ESSMA’s successful 2016. We enjoyed a great Summit in Bilbao, an inspiring small & medium sized stadium tour to Switzerland, Austria and Hungary and our second USA Fan Experience Tour took us to the West Coast, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
