ESSMA interviewed Csaba Siklósi, Managing Director at Lagardère Sports Hungary. Lagardère Sports Hungary is the operator of Groupama Arena, host of the sixth ESSMA Summit.

OPEL ARENA, home to 1. FSV Mainz 05, hosted this year’s ESSMA Safety & Security Workshop. Over 55 ESSMA Members from 18 countries joined us for two days of knowledge sharing and exchanging best practices regarding stewarding, crowd management, body searches, bag policies and facial recognition.

ESSMA interviewed Viktor Paján, Director of FTC-MVM Sports Center, about the training facilities of Ferencsvárosi TC. Together with his colleagues, Viktor is responsible for the maintenance and the investments of the training facilities.

Sascha Dorsaz, an Alumnus of the FBA Professional Master in Football Business, about his experience from The FBA Stadium Tour to Barcelona, supported by ESSMA. The FBA, an ESMMA Partner, offers its students a Professional Master in Football Business with the objective to deliver them all the necessary tools and an optimal learning environment in order to succeed in the passionate and dynamic football industry.

This year’s ESSMA Development & Operations Workshop took place in the brand-new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Over 90 ESSMA members from 16 countries joined us for our biggest workshop to date. During the two-day workshop, participants got the chance to share their knowledge about ongoing stadium development projects and enjoyed presentations on topics covering multifunctional use, playing during renovation, community use and integrating technology in new venues. 

The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) will gather on 8 and 9 October at OPEL ARENA, home of 1. FSV Mainz 05,  for its Safety & Security Workshop

This year’s Pitch Management Workshop was organised at St George’s Park, the Football Association's national football centre. Over 25 ESSMA Member from 8 countries learned insights and shared knowledge linked to multifunctionality, pitch maintenance, diseases, renovations and the transition between football and rugby.
